The Keswick to Threlkeld trail following the route of the old Keswick to Penrith railway has always been a popular route. However it was badly damaged during Storm Desmond in 2015 and was closed for five years for refurbishment. It reopened in December 2020 with a couple of enhancements. The biggest and best being the reopening of Bobbin Mill Tunnel. Join me for a wander along the 5km route as find out what it's like. I will discuss where it's best to park and how you can get back from Threlkeld once you get there.
