The simulation presents a hypothetical railgun projectile impacting at T-80BVM at 7500m/s, with the T-80BVM featuring Relikt heavy-ERA.

The railgun projectile is based on the shape and weight of an existing design, however, this particular railgun could only accelerate the projectile to 3390m/s. Additionally, it was not designed as an anti-tank weapon, so its internals are hypothetical for the simulation, where any guidance components have been removed. With the aluminium body kept in place, there was only enough available weight for a 20x300mm tungsten penetrator. At 3390m/s this would not be enough to penetrate the T-80BVM, but if the projectile was specifically designed for an anti-tank role it would likely have a higher aspect ratio and would likely defeat the armour array.

The T-80BVM upper glacis armour (50-35-50-35-50) has been modelled with 400BHN Rolled Homogenous Armour (RHA) steel and textolite. The Relikt ERA dimensions have been approximated based on images and patents, with the flyer plates being modelled as 20mm thick 500BHN High Hardness Armour (HHA) steel. The explosive amount has been approximated based on 2 layers of 4S23 explosive elements, each with ~5.5mm of explosive. For computational efficiency, a variable pressure load, based on the Gurney and Flis equations, has been used in the place of explicitly simulating the explosive material.
