Basically three types of spring used in sofa.

1) Zig Zag Spring
2) Jalebi spring
3) Pocket spring

In sofa zig zag Spring is highly used due to it's bounce back and Durability nature.

Jalebi spring is also bouncy but as durability consider it's widely used in sofa.

Pocket spring is not more used in soft due to it's complex construction of sofa. Needs skilled workers for construct pocket spring in sofa. So it's rarely used in Indian sofa.

Foam on spring base sofa you can make different combination like this...

Base PU foam 32 Density top of it 1inch super soft foam.
Back side 2inch 32 density PU foam plus 1inch soft foam on It.
Sofa border 15 or 10mm 32 density PU foam.
Sofa handle 1inch 32 density PU foam.

Second combination of foam on spring is.
Base 32 Density HR 4inch top of it 1inch soft HR.
Back side of sofa 32 density HR foam 2inch plus 1inch soft HR.
Handle and border same foam as upper.

Third types of combination ...
Base HR 40 density 4 or 5 inch.
Back side of sofa 32 density HR 2inch.
Handle Hard foam 1inch or 32 density HR foam 1inch.
Sofa border 10 or 15 mm 32 density PU foam.
