Epic Cape Breton Backcountry Adventure - Hiking The Seawall Trail

Описание к видео Epic Cape Breton Backcountry Adventure - Hiking The Seawall Trail

I've done a lot of backcountry exploration in the Cape Breton Highlands, and I'd say this is the most incredible area there! There is no trail yet, so we were able to follow a path for a bit at the beginning and end, but otherwise we were bushwhacking the whole way. A quick disclaimer: this route should only be attempted if you are experienced in the backcountry and with navigation.

The route is located in the Pollett's Cove Aspy Fault Wilderness Area, which is north of the Cape Breton Highlands National Park in northern Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. There is a proposal to develop a trail though here, called the Seawall Trail, with huts along the way to stay in. We mostly followed the proposed route, except we did not divert around Pollett's Cove, which the trail will if it gets built.
