In this video, we'll look at how to add app icon in SwiftUI. We will, first of all, discuss what SwiftUI app icons are and why they are important to our SwiftUI apps. We'll then discuss the different SwiftUI app icon formats you can use in Xcode, the differences, the benefits, and when to use each one.

To make our lives easier when generating SwiftUI app icons, we'll use a handy tool developer by SwiftUI developer Jordi Brun. Called Bakery which is a powerful Mac App you can download from the Mac App Store. This app allows us to generate dummy SwiftUI app icons and real SwiftUI app icons to use within our Xcode asset catalog by simply dragging and dropping.

Finally that we will then learn how to app an icon in Xcode to give our SwiftUI apps their own identity on the iPhone home screens so that users can easily identify your app from your SwiftUI app icon.
