With the O-ring mount, running the board without force break gives a bit of resonance on the alphas. It’s very subtle, but it’s there if you have sensitive ears. Some of the keys around the outer edges of the board also have more noticeable resonance.

Once I apply force break, around 98% of the resonance disappears, and the improvement is honestly huge. For that reason, I feel like force break is basically mandatory on this board.

With the top mount, the resonance on the alphas is even more pronounced, and the edge keys resonate quite a lot. After adding force break, about 90% of the resonance is gone.

For the force break, I use the small stickers that usually come with stabilizers and place them on the bottom case next to the screw holes.

Between the two, I personally prefer the O-ring mount because the spacebar on top mount feels too harsh.
