Story Hatchery is one of ten fish hatcheries and rearing stations operated in Wyoming by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. This documentary shows the role Story Fish Hatchery plays in the process of growing trout from eyed eggs to fingerling trout for Wyoming.

Employees spawn trout and ship fish eggs to rearing stations throughout the state. The Story trout hatchery is an important fish egg producer for the entire state and produces over 5 million trout eggs annually. The hatchery is home to the Wyoming lake, rainbow, brook, brown and golden trout broodstocks.
