On September 4, 10-year-old Tanishka Sharma, a Class 6 student of Presidium School in Noida, collapsed on campus during Teacher’s Day celebrations and was declared dead on arrival at Kailash Hospital. While the school initially claimed she choked on food and later said she fainted near a staircase, the post-mortem revealed she died of brain hemorrhage with no signs of choking or external injuries. Her mother, Tripta Sharma who raised Tanishka alone after losing her husband in 2019 has accused the school of negligence. Police have preserved viscera samples for forensic tests but no FIR has been filed yet, leaving a grieving mother still demanding answers about her daughter’s final moments.
