Cameroon is unquestionably the best entry point to explore the continent of Africa. Lakes, mountains, and waterfalls are just a few of the significant ecotourism destinations in Cameroon.

Lak Ossa is one of Cameroon's greatest lakes. With a surface area of about 4500 hectares that is split into two basins: Ossa and Mevia. Its visual splendor and biodiversity draw a lot of curious nature lovers. Its structure derives from its home to numerous African manatees, soft-shelled freshwater turtles, and even tiny crocodiles.

African manatees, freshwater turtles, crocodiles, monitor lizards, snakes, and numerous types of aquatic birds are among the animal species that call Lac Ossa home.

This lake is also home to over 18 families of fish. Over 400 fishermen rely solely on the lac's resources for their livelihood.
