"Baruni Buda" ceremony has been held in the shore of Mahanadi of Siddha Narayani Pitha in Baruni Jatra area of Athgarh block Berhampur village. Lord Dhableswar and Lord Serpeswar, including a total of 14 Thakurs (Local Temple Gods) of the area came in various processions and took a dip in the holy river at Baruni Ghat at 11.45 on 6th April,2024(Saturday).

During this interval, thousands of shrines from the region and outside the region took a holy dip in the river. Ramesvara, Gopal Jiu, Laxminarayan, Radhakrishna, Gopinath Jiu, Swa Pleshra, Bandanachandra Deva, Radhashyam Jiu, Radhakrishna, Sri Radhakrishna etc. participated in this bath journey.

According to tradition, the famous "Harihar Vet" festival was held at 'Palatota' of Kakhdi village before Baruni bath.
The event was organized by Kakhdi village committee. "Lord Laxminarayan" of Kakhdi village first invited Shri Dhabaleshwar Mahadev for this festival and took him to Palatota. Later, the day goes around the village, All the planes(Biman) came in procession from other villages and there was a triad at Pala Tota. In the Shova Yatra at Sarpeswar Mahadev Dolo Mandap, Dhabaleshwar was taken to the Mahanadi Ghat in Brahampur for Baruni Bath in a ritualistic manner. Conducted the program. Many devotees of the region devoutly witness this auspicious confluence.
