About this video: Do you want to learn how to make a Minecraft server in 1.21.3 and start playing Minecraft with your friends? If so, this is the perfect video for you. It is our complete guide on how to setup a Minecraft 1.21.3 server. It covers every step of creating your Minecraft server in 1.21.3. That means you will be playing on your server by the end of this video. Let’s get started!First things first, we will need to download the server.jar file for 1.21.3. There is a link in the description above to download the 1.21.3 server file. This will take you to our complete guide on setting up a Minecraft server. On this page, click on the “Download Minecraft” button. This will open Minecraft’s official website. On Minecraft’s website, click the “minecraft_server_1.21.3.jar” link, and the server.jar file will start downloading. This is what you will use to actually start and run your server. With the server.jar file downloaded, create a new folder on your desktop called “Minecraft 1.21.3 Server” and move the server.jar file you downloaded into it. Once the server.jar is in this folder, double-click on it, and some files and folders should be generated. If not, it is because you need Java 21. There is a link to get Java 21 in the description above. You will also need to run the Jarfix after getting Java, that is also linked above! You should now have an eula.txt file. You’ll need to open this file. Then, change “eula=false” to “eula=true”, assuming you agree to the Minecraft EULA. Save the eula.txt, and then double-click the server.jar file again. Your Minecraft 1.21.3 server will then start! There will be a console that opens. This is where you will be able to see different information as your server is running as well as use commands like “op”. You’ll know your server is finished starting, when you see “Done” in the console. At this point, you are the only person who can join your Minecraft server for 1.21.3, but it is a good time to test to make sure the server is working and not lagging. If the server is lagging with just you on it, you most likely won’t be able to host the server with friends without a ton of lag. To join your server after it has started, open Minecraft 1.21.3. Then, go to multiplayer and add a new server. For the server’s IP address, use “localhost”. From there, join your server just like any other Minecraft server. When you join it, run around a bit and make sure that the server isn’t lagging or having issues. If it isn’t, you can move on to allowing your friends to join your server. In order to allow your friends to join your Minecraft 1.21.3 server, you will need to port forward the port 25565 on the TCP and UDP protocols. There is a link to our complete port forwarding guide in the description above that will go over every step of port forwarding and then allowing your friends to join your server using your public IP address. From there, you will now be playing on your Minecraft 1.21.3 server! If you have any questions about how to make a Minecraft server in 1.21.3, let us know in the comments.
