 #Bitcoin #BeawareMUSCAT: After nearly four months, the Civil Aviation Authority has confirmed that the travel ban on fully vaccinated passengers from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and other 18 countries that were red-listed has been lifted, the Civil Aviation Authority has announced on Monday.

The decision to lift the ban is a huge relief for hundreds of expats who are stranded in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. However, they have to receive both the doses of coronavirus vaccine approved by the the Sultanate and must carry the vaccine certificate with a QR code.

Passengers will have to do a PCR test 72-hours before travel and carry a negative COVID-19 certificate or they can do a PCR test upon arriving in Oman, but must go into quarantine until they get the negative result certificate.Oman supreme committee 26 august press conference important decisions. MUSCAT: All visas issued to expatriates since the beginning of January 2021 will be extended until the end of the year, a top Royal Oman Police official has confirmed.

Speaking at the Supreme Committee press conference, Major General Abdullah Al Harthy said no extra fees will be imposed for the extension. “All visas issued since the beginning of the year will be extended until the end of the year, and no additional fees will be imposed for the extension. Everyone who has employment outside the Sultanate can enter the Royal Oman Police website and will find that these visas have been extended,” Al Harthy informed.

According to Al Harthy, those expat residents who are stranded outside the country “can extend their visas for additional periods through the Royal Oman Police system for the electronic portal,” he said.

Meanwhile, Al Harthy said ROP will start issuing all new visas soon. “Issuing visas will return to the previous situation, with the same procedures and for all categories. The procedures for entering the Sultanate will be applied,” he applied.
