What is the meaning of the word Hastinapur? In Sanskrit, the word for elephant is hasti. I'm sure all of you know that. And in ancient times, elephant represented wisdom. Uh, even the, the story of, of, you know, of Lord Ganesh with the elephant head represents him having the immense wisdom, uh, of an elephant.

So looked at metaphorically, the word Hastinapur actually means the city of wisdom, the city whose story when you actually learn and listen, you actually learn wisdom.
