I TRIED TO RECTIFY A COPYRIGHT CLAIM ISSUE ON THIS VIDEO WHICH, LITERALLY HAD NO IMPACT ON THE VIDEO BUT I WAS JUST TRYING TO BE REALLY CAREFUL AND THEN, THE MAIN VOICEOVER FOR THIS VIDEO DISAPPEARED. I CANNOT EVEN EXPLAIN THIS.

I have tried to summarise the major ideas in the video in 5 steps below so kindly read.

The Fastest and Easiest way to remove bitter taste from bitter leaves.
Washing of bitter leaves is not an easy thing to do in the kitchen. It can be quite tasking for some people because of the time it takes.

In this video, you’ll learn the simplest way to wash bitter leaves and remove the bitter taste from it within minutes.
This method is easy, fast and stressfree.

PROCESS
STEP ONE
Pluck out the leaves from the stalk and rinse to take out all the sand or dirt.

STEP TWO
Rinse properly with salt.
Please note that if you like your bitter leaves whole for your Bitter Leaf Soup (ofe onugbu), then you do not want to apply pressure when rinsing the leaves.

STEP THREE
Put rinsed leaves in a pot and cover with water, then cook for 15 -20mins on meduim low heat.

STEP FOUR
Once the bitter leaves have cooked for about 20mins, 75% of the bitter taste should be gone so you want to rinse off the remaining bitter taste about 3 - 5 times till the water is no longer foamy and runs clear.
NOTE: If you prefer your leaves slightly bitter, you may want to rinse just twice.

STEP FIVE
Once the bitter leaves are cleaned to your preference, then the leaves are ready to be used for your ofe onugbu soup or any other recipe.
