 Lepakshi Temple, particularly famous for its "hanging pillar", holds several secrets and intriguing features. The most prominent is the hanging pillar, which appears to be suspended in mid-air and is often demonstrated by visitors passing objects beneath it. The temple also boasts a giant footprint, believed to be Sita's, with the big toe perpetually filled with water. Further, the temple features a Nagalinga (a Shiva linga sheltered by a seven-hooded snake) and intricate mural paintings of the Vijayanagar kings, including a large fresco of Veerabhadra.

Hanging Pillar:

This pillar, part of the Aakaasa Sthambha (sky pillar), seems to defy gravity and is a major draw for visitors. Legend suggests it was inadvertently dislodged by a British engineer attempting to understand its construction.

A giant footprint, believed to be Sita's, is a key feature, and its big toe is perpetually wet. 

Nagalinga:

A powerful Shiva linga sheltered by a seven-hooded snake, said to have been created by sculptors during a lunch break.
