BTU 110 - 3rd place recap. Brisbane Trail Ultra

Brisbane Trail Ultra - 29th June 2024
The day leading up to the event I almost decided to not run. I tested positive for Covid 19 one week before the run and was really struggling with fatigue going into this race. I had been training for this event for approximately 9 months and this was my first Ultra race so it was going to take a lot for me to pull out.
Thankfully It all went better than I was hoping and I managed to really dig deep into the pain throughout and get it finished.
Karl - who was my introduction to trail running and training partner helped me on crew duties and saved me a good 20-30 minutes through the checkpoint so I wouldn't have been able to secure 3rd without him. Thanks bro!
