Meet Biomechanical Forensic Engineer, Cameron Trepeck, Ph.D., P.E., ACTAR, WACH. Dr. Trepeck is an engineering expert who has investigated hundreds of cases in the areas of vehicle accident reconstruction, biomechanics, occupant kinematics, injury thresholds, and motion capture. His experience includes biomechanical analysis of injury mechanisms, causation analysis, and injury reconstruction. He also has expertise with the biomechanical evaluation of product failures and with the investigation, analysis, and reconstruction of vehicle accidents from both the mechanical and biomechanical perspectives, including occupant injury biomechanics and human kinematics. Dr. Trepeck’s past research includes analysis of the human body during sports activities and exercise science. His background includes fracture mechanics and failure analysis, which he has used in the context of biomechanical analysis to determine the origin and cause of human injury.

Dr. Trepeck is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Florida and is accredited as a traffic accident reconstructionist. He continues to conduct research and maintain current knowledge of the biomechanics and engineering fields. Dr. Trepeck has published numerous papers to various organizations on topics ranging from sports injury mechanisms, accident reconstruction, motion capture, and extended reality in engineering education. Dr. Trepeck is an adjunct faculty member at the Institute of Police Technology and Management (IPTM) and currently teaches an Occupant Kinematics course.
