We recorded our debut 'Summer Sessions vol.1' live on Sunday 15 January 2023 at Big Sound Studio with record producer veteran in Adelaide, South Australia - Mr "Dangerous" Dave Lokan. Being the opportunists we are, we ensured we took the tackiest band photo possible by his large mafia-style swimming pool right outside the studio before we rolled out.

Our first volume (how pretentious is that) of music which we've refined over pizza and beer in Rob's bunker. In an age of Instagram, auto-tune, and backing tracks, we chose to capture our humanity and record this album live in single session, single take, no overdubs & no individual tracking. How's that for a slice of fried gold!

Summers in Adelaide get stinking hot. We recorded this album on 15 January 2023, slap bang in the middle of the 8th heat wave of the summer. So, "Summer Sessions" was appropriate.

Some of these songs were written in recent times, some go back nearly 2 decades. We've had a bloody good time not taking ourselves too seriously jamming these tunes. Our band is what it is to us - The Social Band. Hope you hear some competence to what we have brewed in this album.
