Certain stories by H.P. Lovecraft, such as this one, include insensitive and sometimes offensive opinions and depictions of non-white, non-American people, cultures, and religions. Where these themes appear, I will leave them intact. However, when individual offensive words serve no purpose to the story, I will replace them. This will be more relevant to some stories than others. While I believe that Lovecraft used these terms and themes out of ignorance more than hatred, they affect us differently now than they would have affected people around the time of writing.
