Sertar Larung Wuming Buddhist Institute, also known as Sertar Buddhist Institute. It is located in southeast of Sertar County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, with an average elevation of 4,000 meters. Sertar Buddhist Institute is the world's largest Buddhist institute. Walking up along Larung Trench in the southeast of Sertar county for a few miles, with every turn, a magnificent red-brown picture gradually show in front of people. Thousands of red cabins are the residence of the monks, which stretch a few kilometers and densely distribute among the mountains and plain. It seems that people unconsciously fall into the red valley, and get shocked and impressed by "all red scenes of Sertar”. Several magnificent temples and Buddhist halls intersperse like a myriad of stars surround the moon, among which the most dazzling building is undoubtedly the "altar city" on highest peak of the Buddhist institute, which is the gathering place for believers to worship and pray. The Lamas and nuns wearing red-purple robes come and go in the Buddhist institute in an endless stream, making the whole institute fresh, vivid and peaceful. This region is suitable for sports like running, walking, cycling and so on.
