The Double Cut Les Paul Special has never been a model that I've found attractive. Sure it has a certain vintage charm to it, but I much prefer the original 'Les Paul' shape they had from 1955-1958 before replacing it with the DC.

This is the first Double Cut that I've see that said "BUY ME." It is a Gibson Les Paul Junior Special from 2011. That is a really crappy name for it because a 'junior' is another model from Gibson. This model differs from a regular special in that it has an ebony fretboard instead of rosewood - gold silkscreen Gibson logo instead of Mother of Pearl, and it has a tune-o-matic bridge instead of a wraparound tailpiece. I like all the differences EXCEPT for the gold Gibson logo. Had it of been MOP, I would've bought this guitar for the $1030 the sell countered it to me for.
