A celebration of Irving Kristol and his legacy of putting ideas before ideology, a practice that has been carried forward by AEI and its scholars to this day.

The Irving Kristol Award was established in 2002 in honor of AEI senior fellow Irving Kristol, and is the highest honor conferred by the American Enterprise Institute. AEI gives the award annually to an individual who has made exceptional intellectual and practical contributions to improve government policy, social welfare, or political understanding.
