The Lost Beauty :- Actress, Dancer Ashwini Ekbote, Ashwini Ekbote died in the middle of a performance on Saturday as her friends and family watched. The 44-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest during the closing act of programme.

Marathi actor and danseuse Ashwini Ekbote breathed her last Saturday night at around 8:15 pm while performing on stage at Bharat Natya Mandir, Pune. A renowned name in theatre and Marathi cinema, Ashwini has acted in movies like Baavre Prem He, Dankyavar Danka, Aarambh, Debu, Mahaguru, Taptpadi and Kshan Ha Mohacha. She was a regular on stage and has performed plays in Maharashtra and Gujarat. Bho Bho was her last movie co-starring actor Prashant Damle. Her current on-air serials are- Ganpati Bappa Morya, Duheri and Aaisaheb.

The sudden demise of actor-dancer Ashwini Ekbote while performing on stage on Saturday evening left people shocked. Ekbote (44), a popular face remembered for her splendid performances in theatre, television and films, suffered a cardiac arrest during the closing act of programme, Natya Trividha, at Bharat Natya Mandir in Sadashiv Peth and died within minutes.
As it was the premier show of the programme, her close friends and relatives were present at the event. Ekbote’s parents too were among those present who witnessed her final collapse.
