On a beach in Argentina, a remarkable and heartwarming rescue mission unfolded when seven Killer Whales, also known as Orcas, became stranded. The first person to spot them immediately called the authorities, prompting firefighters and marine biologists to rush to the scene. What was truly incredible was that civilians who witnessed the stranding also rallied to assist in the rescue efforts.
Orcas are known to occasionally beach themselves while hunting for prey. Although it's not entirely clear why these Orcas were beached, one theory suggests that a pod was teaching and a combination of low tide and a strong wave pushed them higher onto the beach than they intended to go.
Sadly, one of the Orcas did not survive the ordeal. However, with the dedicated efforts of the rescue workers and the help of the civilians who came together, six Orcas were successfully rescued and returned to the safety of the water.
