Walking to Franz Kafka's Grave | Prague, Czech Republic

Описание к видео Walking to Franz Kafka's Grave | Prague, Czech Republic

This is a 6-minute walk through Nový židovský hřbitov in Žižkov to see Franz Kafka's grave. Kafka was born in Prague, which is the capital of the Czech Republic. Franz Kafka has remained one of history's most influential writers throughout his lifetime and many books since his death, including The Metamorphosis and The Trial. Franz Kafka died at the age of 40 years old from tuberculosis (TB).

Franz Kafka's grave is located at The New Jewish Cemetery in Žižkov, Prague, Czech Republic. Franz Kafka's grave is close to another famous author who had died years after him named Max Brod. Franz Kafka and Max Brod were not only very close friends, but Franz Kafka also entrusted Max Brod to burn his unfinished manuscripts as Franz Kafka wanted them to stay unpublished. Luckily for us, Max Brod didn't follow through with the destruction and published Kafka's works.

Kafka certainly had an influence on much of my work to date, which you can see on my art website, www.mbdallocchio.com, and making a visit to see Franz was a must while visiting Prague in January 2022. You may or may not be able to see the little snow flurries in the video on the way to his grave, but I'd like to think he was saying hello.
