We visited the River Sallee Sulpher Spring

River Sallee is a village located in the parish of St Patrick which is north of the island Grenada. Roughly it takes 20-25 minutes on average to drive from the town of Grenville to the location of the sulphur spring, passing through the villages of Paradise, Dunfermline, Pearls, Moyah, Conference, Tivoli, and La Potri.

The site is composed of five (5) Sulphur Springs from which you can enjoy a mud bath. Various studies have advised the use of sulphur in skincare routines as sulphur has natural anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, meaning it can clear bacteria from the pores that would otherwise lead to acne and also help to prevent new bacteria from manifesting on the skin’s surface. It also reduces the production of sebum in the skin, which leads to oiliness. This process dries out the skin, which can be beneficial for acne sufferers who are prone to excess oil production that can lead to breakouts. In addition, there are small enterprise on the site such as a massage pallor and a bar which offer great services. The boiling springs are noted not only for their unique geology but also because it is an area of spiritual importance for the local residents.
