Project Coombs - 1961 Jaguar Mk 2 Sedan Restoration Project: Episode 2

In this episode, we walk through the evaluation, the first real step in the restoration process. With the assistance of one of Ragtops & Roadsters' in-house Jaguar specialists, the team explores the good, the bad and the ugly of our subject vehicle, we examine the Mk 2 with a critical eye to determine its worthiness as a restoration candidate.

The walk-around starts with the body, where we examine the overall condition of the shell and panels for rust, damage and previous repair work. We also discuss the special Webasto sunroof.

Inside we go over the condition of the wood veneers, the upholstery and all the accessory features including equipment like the tool kit. Finally, we go under the hood to discuss the mechanical condition and potential work required.
