The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is a 2006 action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios, and co-published by Bethesda Softworks and 2K Games.

In the shadow of evil, a hero will rise from the ashes of a fallen empire. The gates have been opened, and the battle has begun. Only one thing can save the world from Mehrunes Dagon and the demonic hordes of Oblivion. The true heir of the Septim line must be found and restored to the Imperial throne. The fate of the world rests in the hands of one. Find him, and shut the jaws of Oblivion.

In this RPG epic, you must find the lost heir to the throne and unravel the plot that threatens to destroy all of Tamriel. After the mysterious and untimely death of the Emperor, the throne of Tamriel lies empty. With the Empire ready to crumble, the gates of Oblivion open and demons march upon the land - laying waste to everything in their path. To turn the tide of darkness, you must find the lost heir to the throne and unravel the sinister plot that threatens to destroy all of Tamriel.

Questline Summaries:
The Main Story - As Above
Mages Guild - Rise through the ranks, work with your fellow mages to uncover plots to overthrow the guild, deal with necromancers and destroy their leader. Finally, become the new Arch-Mage.
Fighters Guild - The Fighters Guild is a group of mercenaries. They take contracts from regular people that need a little muscle. Work your way through the ranks, help the local people, deal with rival companies, and ultimately become the new Guild Master.
Dark Brotherhood - A secretive organisation led by the Night Mother which takes on contracts to kill people from all over Cyrodiil. After you have proven yourself to join the brotherhood, you too shall work for the Night Mother and do what needs to be done, until you become the new listener and leader of the Cheydinhal branch.
Thieves Guild - Follow the clues, ask around, uncover who exactly is the Gray Fox. Prove yourself to the guild,, and become a fellow thief yourself. Put your skills of stealth and sneak to the test as you will be tasked to steal lucrative items, and even an Elder Scroll. As you progress, you will soon become the new Gray Fox, the leader of the thieves guild.
The Arena - Put your skills of battle and tactics to the test as you fight against some of Cyrodiil's greatest opponents in a 1v1 match. However there may be sometimes more than 1 opponent to deal with. As you fight through ranks, you too will have a shot to become the Grand Champion of the Arena.
Shivering Isles - Shivering Isles takes place on the eponymous isles ruled by the Daedric Prince of Madness, Sheogorath. The player becomes Sheogorath's protégé, and together they try to defeat the Daedric Lord of Order, Jyggalag, thus preventing the isles from being destroyed.
Knights of the Nine - Knights of the Nine centers on a faction of the same name, devoted to locating and preserving a set of "Crusaders' Relics". Once found, these relics must be used to defeat the sorcerer-king Umaril, who seeks revenge on the Nine Divines.
