I show the full two day process of how I created this beautiful 2' x 3' acrylic pour painting (7 big flip cups)! I love acrylic pouring!!! This was one of the best pour paintings I have ever done using the flip cup technique. Click the numbers linked below to skip ahead.

On the big one, I poured into the seven flip cups the same as you see in the test pour. The only difference is that I gently layered colors in between the areas where I poured from up high. You can see how I layer colors in my first 16 minute process video.

Recipe: 3 parts paint, 1 part pouring medium (1/2 GAC 800, 1/2 liquitex pouring medium), a splash of water, and thinning solution to the correct consistency. After all paint is mixed, I add one drop of 100% silicone oil (treadmill oil) to every 1 ounce of prepared paint.

Tools: kitchen scale, butane kitchen torch, level, painters tape, palette knife, painting cover to protect from bugs (air conditioning filters, duct tape, painters tape

Paint and colors used: Pebeo Studio Acrylics in titanium white, titanium buff, violet, iridescent green blue, iridescent gold, iridescent bronze, vermillion, Venice red, cadmium yellow med, turquoise, primary cyan, Prussian blue.
