Surface fishing for carp with popcorn at Smith Mountain Lake

Had a great time surface fishing for carp with popcorn at Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia. We pulled up the boat into a marina and Spombed out floating pellets and popcorn, this whipped the carp up into a frenzy. I casted out a bubble float and a #8 hook with a single piece of popcorn and the carp pounded it immediately. But the carp learn very quickly and after a few fish the sunset and the fish disappeared.
