Instagram does not allow Creator Accounts to be private by design. This is because Creator and Business accounts are intended for public figures, influencers, and businesses that need visibility to a wider audience. Therefore, privacy settings are different from Personal accounts, which can be switched between public and private modes.

If you want your Instagram account to be private, you'll need to switch back to a Personal Account. Here’s how you can do it:

Steps to Switch to a Personal Account:

1. Open Instagram and go to your profile.


2. Tap the three horizontal lines in the top-right corner to open the menu.


3. Select Settings and Privacy.


4. Tap Account Type and Tools.


5. Select Switch to Personal Account and confirm the change.



Once you switch back to a Personal Account, you can make your account private:

1. Go back to Settings and Privacy.


2. Select Account Privacy under "Who Can See Your Content."


3. Turn on the Private Account toggle.



This will make your Instagram profile private, and only approved followers will be able to see your posts.
