Hyderabad extended their lead at the top of the 2021/22 Indian Super League standings with a 5-0 win against NorthEast United on January 31, 2022.

Nigerian Bart Ogbeche scored a brace and broke the all-time goalscoring record in the ISL and leapfrogged previous holder Ferran Corominas to take his tally to 49 goals in 70 games. He is also the top scorer this season with 14 goals in 13 matches.
