This engine was tested for a customer. The customer had queried the compression as being 'stuck'. It just needed some fuel and to be flicked to fire.
So we checked it out for the customer who's been sorted out with a tested engine.
All that aside we were very impressed with the running qualities of the CS Navo .75 Engine. It hand starts hot or cold. Less of a prime when cold and a little more compression. When hot less compression and more prime is required. This is because the fuel vaporises when it had only just run. It's important not to over compress or flood the engine and in the video you will see how Robin pulls the prop through the stroke of the piston. This is to make sure the engine is not flooded as over compressed diesels can bend a conrod. To be on the safe side the customer probably did the right thing asking the experts to check his engine was O.K. Better to be safe than sorry.
Steve Webb Model's has limited stocks of CS diesels from time to time. SWM have very few of a Special Edition Gold .37 arriving soon. SWM also has a limited edition Navo .75 on order with a Anodised Gold Head. With Cert of Authenticity . As of end of Feb 2014 SWM have a Hand Full of the .37 Diesel Available ( Only 100 have been made) and they have 8 of the very special Gold Edition .37 Navo of which only 23 Have been made.
It is hoped the special edition Navo is here for March 2014. There may only be 35 of them available. Ideally another 35 in late March will be the last of the .37 available ( a Possible 70 .75 Gold Edition Vintage Type Engine Navo's should be available).
