Gudibande is a small town near Chikkaballapur in Karnataka. It is about 2.5 hours drive from Bengaluru.
The Fort is built by local chief Byre Gowda some 400 years ago.



Highlights of this fort :
It is a replica of Madugiri Fort.
It has 7 Levels of interconnecting escape routes in case of emergency.
Rain water harvesting.


The climb will take around 1 - 1.5 hours - steep ones making the climb tiring, but the beautiful views you get along the way takes away all the tiredness. Once you reach the top most point, the views are just magnificent - truly worth it.
It is advisable to carry sufficient quantity of water/juice during the trek. The climb down is going to be fast but stressful to your ankles. There was not much of a crowd and that was the best part.
There are a no. of lakes around.
If its too sunny, the climb can become tiring especially for families with kids. So, don't forget to look at the weather before heading here. And try to reach early so the weather will be fine.
