Manchester -Manchester United beat Lyon 5-4 in dramatic fashion in the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final , with the Red Devils scoring twice ahead of a penalty shootout to advance to the semi-finals.
Man United vs Lyon took place at Old Trafford, Friday (18/4/2025) early morning WIB. Both teams drew 2-2 in the first leg.

MU led 2-0 in the first half. The Red Devils' goals were scored by Manuel Ugarte and Diogo Dalot.

Lyon managed to force the match into extra time. Corentin Tolisso and Nicolas Tagliafico tore through United's goal to change the score to 2-2 and 4-4 on aggregate.

Lyon turned the score around to 3-2 in the first half of extra time through Rayan Cherki's goal. In the second half of extra time Lyon scored again to make it 4-2 through Alexandre Lacazette's penalty.

MU then also got a penalty. Bruno Fernandes reduced the deficit to 3-4.

With Lyon's victory in sight, United scored two late goals. Goals from Kobbie Maino and Harry Maguire gave United a 5-4 win and a 7-6 aggregate victory into the semi-finals.
