In the third video of my travel vlog around India I ride from Bangalore to Belur, stopping at Shravanabelagola on the way. We spent 4 days in Bangalore visiting the Bangalore palace, art gallery, ISKON temple and the fort, before riding for 3 hours to Shravanbela Gola. This small town is a famous pilgrimage site for Jains. We climbed the 600 steps up Vindhyagiri hill to see the ancient Jain temples and the world’s largest monolithic statue, which was an amazing experience and the views from the hill were unbeatable. After 1 night there we drove for another 2 hours to Belur where we visited the Chennakeshava temple, built in the 12th Century. This temple is so intricately designed and carved it is a wonder to see with your own eyes and i definitely recommend visiting while you are in Karnataka.
