HOW I TRIM, SHAPE & CUT MYY NATURAL HAIR

Since I’ve been natural, I’ve been cutting my own hair. The technique that I always use, leaves me with a heart shape that people always ask about, so I thought I’d show you how I achieve it. Obviously since my hair is already shaped that way after doing it consistently, I don’t cut a lot off as when I first cut it. When I did my big chop I used this technique to cut my hair off. The angle is the key. When I cut my hair off the first time, I didn’t cut it blunt. I used sections and I made sure that I cut vertically. Holding the hair out like I showed it’s the best way to get that height and volume. The higher you hold your hair up, is the more volume you’re gonna get at the top. But also the more hair you will be cutting from the top as well. The lower you hold it is the more blunt your hair will be with less layers. Hope this helps !
