Here we see the trailing suction hopper dredger ship AL-IDRISI in Kiel Canal on April 27, 2021. AL-IDRISI is measuring 119 metres in length and is registered and sailing under the flag of Luxembourg. The ship was heading for the port of Riga, Latvia.

The Kiel Canal is a 98-kilometre-long canal located in Northern Germany and links the North Sea with the Baltic Sea. Passing through Kiel Canal saves significant time over the northern route around Denmark. Opened in 1895, it is one of the most frequented artificial waterways in the world.
