Live Tonight on Millennium Stage : The Junkyard Band was formed in 1980 by children, ranging in age from 8 to 13, living in the Barry Farm government housing project in Washington, D.C. They were inspired to play after witnessing the performances of local go-go bands in their neighborhood, and provide exciting and powerful performances of the old school go-go that made them famous around the world, including two of their hits Sadines and Pork N' Bean and Word.
