I am happy to announce the release of my second EP, Sawdust World, produced by Michael Dinallo and Tim Carter. This five-song collection was recorded at The Treehouse Studio in Nashville in October 2023 and can be heard on my Soundcloud page.

In his review in UK Americana, Alan Cackett offered the following praise for my first EP, String of Lights...
"Rooted in his affinity for finely crafted melodies and intricate storytelling, it is clear that every single lyric and note carries immensely deep, personal profundity. His nostalgic, sweet tenor singing voice is a key that unlocks all the tastiness in these songs. The charming guitar-driven rootsy arrangements circle around the stories in his songs, implying much, and declaring little, creating a constant sense of enveloping curiosity."

The songs of Sawdust World explore the shared human experiences of longing, loss, restlessness and redemption. The title conjures images of drift and impermanence, possibility and hope. My thanks to Johnny and Jeff Phillips for giving these songs a home on Memphis International Records. Sawdust World is my second EP with Memphis International Records and I'm honored to be part of their storied label.

This recording doesn't happen without my friend Michael Dinallo. His skill and instincts as a guitarist, arranger and producer are everywhere on these tracks. We recorded these songs on October 1-2, 2023 at The Treehouse Studio in Ridgetop, Tennessee under the steady hand of Tim Carter. Not only did Tim engineer, mix and master the tracks but he also plays mandolin on Haru.

Bassist Dave Jacques and drummer Justin Amaral bring warmth and depth to everything they play and I'm fortunate to have them join me for a second time here. Big thanks to Anita Suhanin, Michael McAdam, Smith Curry, Aaron Till and Jim Gambino for their soulful, skillful performances. There's nothing better than making music with family and friends so I'm especially happy to have my cousin Greg Kane and our friend Kat Brooks singing the background vocals on Haru and best of all, my brother James 'Killer' Kane lays in some old-fashioned harmonica on West.

These songs began as mine, became ours and are now yours; I hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed creating them.
