I get asked this question all the time .

What is “ better or louder “ 2 8s in each saddle bag or one ten in each .

It’s not a simple answer

If we are talking factory saddle bags

2 tens is easier to tune , you have more choices in woofers in tens and the airspace for tens with a port works out better than with double 8s

It all depends on the tune and the amount of power you have available.

Scott Owens builds bikes with 8s that beat bikes with 12s 🤷🏾‍♂️

Doing 4 8s is way more expensive and requires more skill to pull off .

I have 2 8s in each bag on ones of my personal bikes

And 1 ten in each bag in my other personal bike ( videos on both will be up soon )
Both bikes sound great but the sound it totally different on both .

Another issue with double 8s is speaker count for competition

So you have to know what class you want to compete in before you choose
