The National NCX-3 was produced starting in 1962 by the National Radio Company of Melrose, Massachusetts. It covered three popular amateur radio bands, 80, 40 and 20 meters. The radio uses 18 tubes and requires an external high-voltage power supply (National NCX-A), which fits conveniently into the speaker cabinet.
