This video was shot on December 14th, 2014 on the coastal mountain range bordering the City of Vancouver. In December, these mountain ranges should be covered in snow hosting all sorts of mountain activities ranging from skiing to snowshoeing. The snow seen in this video on the ski runs was created from snow blowing machines.

This video was shot with the GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition using 1080p with 60fps. Protune is used in many of the shots taken unless filmed in a low light area. Attachments used: Head Strap, Suction Cup, and the Three Way Pole. I was impressed with all three attachments and the versatility they have. The Suction Cup seemed to reduce vibrations allowing for a smooth shot inside the vehicle. The Three Way GoPro Pole worked perfectly in capturing footage while moving and acted as a great tripod in photos taken from the top.

The parking lot seen at the beginning of the video is about 20 minutes away from the heart of downtown Vancouver. From the parking lot to the first mountain peak (Black Mnt.) it will take about 30-45 minutes depending on the speed you are hiking. The first half of this stretch is very steep but starts to flatten out the closer you get to the top. The final lookout you see in the video is Eagle Bluffs. This was my favourite part of the hike revealing an outstanding view of the Vancouver region and its surrounding environment. To reach Eagle Bluffs, I hiked 20-30 minutes with a slight downhill grade from the top of Black Mountain.
