Haslinger Schafmilch

Описание к видео Haslinger Schafmilch

This review features an artisan shaving soap from Austria, Haslinger (http://www.haslingerseifen.at/) has been at shave soap making since 1949. Schafmilch is made with sheeps milk and is available in the U.S. from many retailers, most notably Maggard Razors (http://www.maggardrazors.com/).

The scent on Haslinger Schafmilch has been debated for quite some time. Many say its a faint clean scent, other’s say it's heavily scented. I have even seen reviews where people have compared the scent to sheep’s urine. Thankfully, I am in the first category in terms of scent interpretation. This is a light clean scent that will not interfere with any aftershave or fragrance you plan to use. Scent strength as discussed, is light both off the puck and once lathered. While no comparable come to mind, the scent itself smells a lot to me like the scent of a generic bath soap.

The performance on Haslinger Schafmilch is rather amazing for such an affordable soap. The soap easily hits good marks for lather density, cushion, slickness and residual slickness. The post shave of this soap punches with some of the very best out there too. The lanolin leave the skin silky smooth. In testing and using, I compare this soap favorably to the offerings of Mike's Natural Soaps and Local Gent.
