Atio Castillo's parents react to conviction of 10 accused in hazing case

A Manila court has convicted 10 members of the Aegis Juris fraternity over the hazing death of University of Santo Tomas law student Horacio "Atio" Castillo III in 2017.

Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 11 Acting Presiding Judge Shirley Magsipoc-Pagalilauan also sentenced them to reclusion perpetua, or at least 30 years in prison.

Castillo's parents, Carmina and Horacio Jr., said shortly before the decision that the long seven-year wait for justice has been worth it for their son.
