Intentionally crashing led Britain to win a gold medal | Weird Rules

Описание к видео Intentionally crashing led Britain to win a gold medal | Weird Rules

Ever wonder how athletes in obscure sports can get so good at what they do? Well, part of it is knowing all the rules, and bending them to their advantage. That's what Philip Hindes did in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where he took advantage of the rulebook in order to get a restart to his race. Following the restart, his team went on to win the gold medal, and he even admitted to the flop.

Weird Rules examines the bizarre text that governs our favorite sports, and the real events that took place as a result. Sure, it usually goes off the rails as host Ryan Simmons and a guest explore the space around the rule, but learning's more fun when you dumb it down.
