Hey there, this is Simon at SafeandVaultStore.com. I am here today to talk to you about a great line of products, the BFS line of burglar fire safes from AMSEC in Fontana, California. These safes carry RSC Residential Security Container ratings and ETL-verified fire ratings, and they have a suite of features that help them stand out from other safes in this category.

These safes are composite lined, meaning the body is constructed from an internal and external layer of steel with a unique material in between that's similar to cement. This material creates a fire barrier that helps achieve the ETL rating and provides additional security to the body, where the typical weak point of other RSC-rated safes is found. The door features the same composite construction found in the body but also includes a 1/2" solid steel plate, which is far beyond what you typically see in an RSC-rated safe and adds serious protection against cutting, drilling, and pry attacks.

These safes come standard with a very reliable UL-listed American Security ESL10XL Digital Lock. Opening the door, you can see the 1/2" steel plate mentioned earlier and the multi-step door design. This safe has ten active locking bolts, which actuate on a super smooth internal boltwork system. Four are on the opening side, four are on the hinge side, and one is on the top and bottom. The interior of these safes features the same durable finish found on the outside.

The included adjustable shelves are all metal and rest on metal clips, so you've got a high weight capacity. Each safe has a few standard shelves, but extras are available. There's a single anchor hole at the bottom of the safe for mounting to a solid surface, which we always recommend. American Security has even included the hardware necessary to do so.
