·      What can we apply to ourselves as leaders?
o   When you give instructions to people, do not use shame as a tool to get them to do the right thing.
o   Hear people’s stories. You really do not know a person until you have heard the back story of their life. What motivates them? What are their goals and aspirations? What would they like to hear from you as a leader?
o   Instructions clearly stated that people easily follow are to be given.
§  Let’s be sure the instructions we give people are able to be easily understood to the people we are giving them to. Some people are better auditory learners and others are better hands-on learners. Realize who you are speaking with.
