The Historical Society of Santa Rosa kicks off 2023 with another in our series of free webinars, Santa Rosa: Then and Now presented by local historian, Ray Johnson.

Ray shares the history of local places with his fun and informative photo gallery and vast knowledge of Santa Rosa. Ray’s interest in history started when he was in the Boy Scouts when he researched the biographies of the people interred at the Seldon Cemetery for a merit badge. Since then, he has studied the histories of Sacramento, El Dorado, San Francisco, and north bay. Also, a genealogist since the age of 15 and served on the Luther Burbank and Sonoma County Genealogy Society boards and is currently president of the Sonoma County Historical Society.

Our zoom host and moderator Leslie Graves facilitates questions during the last 30-minutes of the webinar. This webinar was presented live on Thursday, January 19, 2023 and is approximately 90 minutes in length.
