Texas, with 40 electoral votes after gaining two seats from the 2020 census, was a significant prize in the presidential race. Overall, the 2024 election reaffirmed Texas’s status as a Republican stronghold, with Trump’s double-digit victory margin reversing the narrowing trend seen in the 2016 and 2020 elections.
